The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild video game contains over 150 weapons in a number of categories including swords, boomerangs, bows, and even bones of enemies. Presented in this poster is a full taxonomy of all the weapons in the game, along with a detailed look at the master sword's appearance throughout the Legend of Zelda timeline.
The Master Sword does not appear in the original Legend of Zelda game from 1986, however, it has been featured in seven main series games since. The Master Sword is Link’s signature weapon, and has become an integral part of the character's visual identity and destiny. In the narrative of the Zelda series, it is a powerful, sacred weapon that Link repeatedly uses to defeat the main antagonist Ganon, and other forces of evil.
